Climb to the top of Tybee Lighthouse for unbelievable views.
CHRISTMAS TOUR AT THE TYBEE ISLAND LIGHT STATION
Please join us for a unique opportunity to travel back through time and experience the sights and customs of Christmas at the Tybee Island Light Station in the days of out last Lighthouse Keeper and his family. This quaint depiction of holiday cheer in the 1930’s and 40’s illustrates the traditions of a simpler time by a small family whose closest, and sometimes only, neighbors were the military families of Fort Screven. Enjoy the twinkle of the Christmas lights across the island from the top of the Lighthouse, carols, hot cider and the joy of the season by the warm glow of candlelight. Please call 912.786.5801 to reserve early as space is limited.
This Christmas Tour will take place on Dec. 10 and 17, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the event are $15.00 for adults & $10.00 for children 5-17 (children 4 and under free).
This was unlike any condo I had ever stayed before. It was beautiful in colors of turquoise, pink and lime green. Everything was so clean and fresh feeling. It was like being at my Mimi's for the Summer! Chenille bedspreads!! Are you kidding me?! My husband and I loved the antique and distressed furniture. Great attention to detail has been put into this home down to the light switch covers! I tried to find even the tiniest bug or spider web but there wasn't anything!!! We were so comfortable, we wanted just to "lay around", be beach bums and relax! The deck was inviting with super-comfy cushions and view of the ocean. Lauren was the perfect hostess responding quickly to every text and phone call. Even gave us great restaurant suggestions. This was our first time in Tybee but will not be our last!!
Couldn't wait to write this review! Loved this property. We stayed in the My Little Beach House downstairs. The feel of this place is so nice. It was extremely clean and we had everything we needed. It is cute, quaint and it was nice to be able to bring our furbaby with us. The fenced in backyard is so cute with an outdoor shower and adorable playhouse. Did not see one bug. Did I say it was CLEAN? Wow! Lauren was great to work with and told us we would appreciate the proximity to the beach and Tybrisa St. where some of the shops and restaurants are and she wasn't kidding. Tybee is a pay to park city and if you aren't staying in a place (like here) that provides a parking place, you'd have to buy parking permits from the city. We walked everywhere nearby. We ate at The Breakfast Club and it is awesome and was the best service we got anywhere we ate. It actually had a kind of Athens, GA feel about it. On the menu it states that their cooks are creative and know that their job depends on the guests coming back. They make you feel like they really like you being there, not just laying it on. They like their restaurant. The other place we got great service was at AJ's Dockside. Rockhouse Grill didn't seem to care if we patronized them or not but food was good. Fanny's was okay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend My Little Beachhouse. We stayed at a place further down on the coast once and while the location and property were great, there were spiderwebs and palmetto bugs in abundance inside and no vacuum. I now travel with the lift-away part of my vacuum (I have a big vehicle) in case I encounter this again and feel I have to clean and sanitize before I can relax. I didn't have to use it before feeling relaxed at Lauren's property. It really was that clean and I am picky. I always clean a property well before I leave it and there was a vacuum cleaner in the closet here. Thanks, Lauren. We really enjoyed our three days of R and R. I like that you are my cousin now.
Loved this property!
We loved Ocean Villa! and Tybee. The eating establishments were great, especially Sundae Cafe. Do me a favor and eat at the Crab Shack and order the low country boil. It is so fun and delicious We will never forte this vacation- it was the most relaxing. Jorge and family
