My Beach House
My Beach House sits underneath an enormous old Tybee live oak tree. Palm trees surround you. You will truly experience old Tybee. Many items and furniture are original to the house or acquired from Old Tybee Beach Houses before their demise. Extensive library gathered for your reading pleasure. Enjoy!
Free parking on-site for 2 vehicles. EV charger! Ask about our golf cart rental. Subject to availability.
RATE depends on dates. Ask for last minute and off peak rates. Late arrival guaranteed.
City of Tybee license 01115 since 2001.
Guest Access
You will have complete access to all of the ground level areas. There is an upstairs but it will never be occupied when guests are occupying the downstairs. Upstairs is just for family and they are not allowed to visit if I have vacation rental guests.
Other things to note
Please know that this is a wonderful old beach house. That is it's charm and why we all love this rare gem.
Also, while my goal is to have you arrive to a sparkling clean pool and pool deck I will make every effort to make your pool and pool deck clear of leaves and sticks. Many times there are pop up storms that are quite strong and cause the wonderful oak and palms trees around you to lose some of their leaves into the pool. While I do have a professional weekly (and more if required) pool company service your pool there may be times debris falling into the pool is just unavoidable. Mother nature does not always love us. Please know that I will make every effort to get the yard care service and pool cleaner there as soon as possible. I do try to keep it clean at all times but you just never know when there will be a coastal pop up storm. I hope you understand and I completely understand if you choose not to stay at My Beach House because I can not guarantee your pool and deck will be adorably clean when you arrive. I do strive for that to happen though. 1 Full bath inside, 2nd bath=toilette and sink in pool shed and a private outdoor shower w/hot water.

Details:
- BEDROOM: 1 king, 1 queen, 1 sofa bed (Sleeps 5)
- 2 BATHS: One full bath inside, 2nd bath = toilet and sink in pool shed and a wonderful private outdoor shower w/ hot and cold water.
- LINENS: Nice linens and towels and start-up soaps and tissue provided.
- OUTDOORS: Private heated pool, hot tub, and Green Egg grill in fenced yard. Screened lounging porch with a swing, sofa, and chairs.
- BEACH GEAR: Pull beach cart provided. Bring your favorite beach chair. There may be more beach gear at the cottage.
- DECOR: Vintage beach.
- LOCATION: Mid-island, close to the beach, pier, shops, restaurants and pubs.
- PETS: Pets allowed.
- PARKING: Off Street parking at your house for 2 cars. EV car charger.
- BEACH: Close-by
- AC/HEAT: Mitsubishi wall unit.
- Smoking not allowed anywhere on the property.
- 7 night minimum rental.
*14% tax on all mandatory fees.

Love, love, love the outdoor shower!
A beautiful, unique gem walking distance to a beautiful beach! We loved staying at this home. We walked to the beach every single day! It’s less populated than the stretch of beach adjacent to the pier. There’s a grocery store 7 minutes (walk) away, and restaurants are about a 12-15 minute walk away. My kids swam in the heated pool every afternoon/evening after the beach and it was such a nice luxury!! Love love the outdoor shower (we fought over it) and the poolside bathroom with sauna! Lauren texted proactively about weather and a water outage (didn’t impact our stay, but was very thoughtful). Our beds were comfy and our showers were hot!

The cottage was everything you imagine about a coastal beach house. The eclectic charm, the amenities, and the location were a dream. We started our mornings on the screened in porch, walked to restaurants along the beach, and ended our evenings by the pool. The cottage had everything we needed for the most perfect family vacation.

Lauren was wonderful. The view from the deck was lovely. We enjoyed walking the beach and spending time in the lovely home. Lauren anticipated our every need the home was exceptional well stocked. Lauren’s on the beach is the best Airbnb I have experienced so far. This host had everything you needed to start your island trip. She was very responsive and infinitive. She had info about the whole area. Beach, restaurants, bars, excursions. The condo was extremely clean and had a great beach theme. I would recommend to everyone to stay here. Dolphins in the morning, unbelievable sun rise while having coffee on the deck. Lauren is the perfect example of what a Airbnb host should be. I will be returning and looking for any property hosted by Lauren.

I stayed here for just about a month and it was everything my soul needed. I read a bunch of the previous reviews before booking and to prep what I needed to pack. I brought my own soap – although she did have nice hand washing soap out – and any other things that were important to me. I didn’t pick this place for the trash bags or the location of the silverware. I picked it because of how the energy felt to my soul. This place was EXACTLY what I needed for my month in Tybee. It is RIGHT on the beach and so cozy. The location is quiet and gentle and felt very safe even taking my dog for a walk at 10pm. I’ll point out the obvious, Lauren is extremely accommodating and courteous. She genuinely cares about your stay and wants to make sure you enjoy it. The interior space is adorable and cute, full of flamingos and vintage appearing pieces. The townhome it self is older, so expect the charm and character that comes with older homes (especially those built around the beach). The beach is of course amazing, it’s clean and quiet, and viewing it first thing in the morning during sun rise is just amazing.

Relaxing retreat – a wonderful step back in time on Tybee! Over the past several years, we have stayed at over 10 properties on Tybee and this one is, by far, our favorite. From the moment my son and I entered, we were charmed by the whole happy kitsch ambience – welcoming, but not too over the top. The decor, and over all feel of this house, is truly like a trip back to the 1940s, BUT with all of the modern conveniences of today. The linens on the bed felt decadent, with the fluffy mattress toppers and vintage covers. Television (never turned it on!) games and books, too! The kitchen is no frills, but has everything you could possibly need. The retro feel even extends to the patterned, blue linoleum floor – perfect! Our family LOVED My Seaside! The house was perfect for our group of 6 adults and 2 kids (one under 2 yrs. old.) The house had everything we needed for the youngest- baby gate, stroller, and very kid friendly. Great beach side decor, and nice without being overly fancy. It felt like our own house! The location cannot be beat- just steps to the beach via a boardwalk on a quite, deadend street. The IGA and downtown Tybee are all close. House had a cooler, beach cart with chairs, two bikes, and lots of beach toys- literally everything we needed. The kitchen was equipped with everything you would need to make a meal. We had breakfast at the house every morning, and grilled steaks one night on the outdoor charcoal grill. Five stars and we would stay again no question. We had a lovely time staying at “My Beach House”. We especially enjoyed the beach at sunset. It was like being part of a beautiful painting. Lauren was awesome. We experienced car trouble while on Tybee which caused our stay to be extended. Lauren was very gracious in helping us to do this. We loved Tybee.

I LOVED my stay on Tybee Island, largely due to the amazing beach house and service! The island itself is gorgeous, fun, and filled with friendly locals and guests. But, Lauren and her houses take the experience to another level! All of her houses are warm and inviting, well-decorated, fully-stocked for all vacation needs, and in prime locations. Her personal care and attention to each home is so clear, and it really makes you feel at home (rather than in a rental) during your stay. I can’t wait to go back and bring more friends :).

We loved My Tybee Queen. Beautiful 3 bedroom 2 bath brick home that had everything we wanted and needed. My husband and I had a wonderful time for our 14th anniversary. Would be a great place to take the whole family also. Very nice neighborhood. Thanks for the wonderful memories.

Matt Hobbs We absolutely loved “My Seaside”. Beautiful house and SO close to the beach. My wife could easily get to the beach with our 3 and 1 year old kids, who had a blast. EVERYTHING that we could possibly needed for fun family vacation was already there at the house, tons of beach toys, comfy beach chairs, even a beach cart and umbrella. Just pack your swim suit and some burgers to cook on either of the 2 grills provided (1 Charcoal and 1 Gas). Thanks Lauren for such a wonderful, resting, vacation on Tybee Island. Date of Stay September 29, 2009 MY OCEAN VILLA Mom came from MA to spend a few days with her daughter, who drove in from Athens. We had the most relaxing time enjoying the beach, exploring the island on bikes (from Tim’s) and eating great food. Our favorites would have to be this location. the dolphins leaping in the waves and riding bikes on the beach at sunrise – oh, but don’t leave out dinner at sunset at AJs. I was pleasantly surprised by this condo. It was clean, large, and right on the ocean. You couldn’t beat the location. The games and puzzles kept my kids occupied during the rainy times. The condo was well provisioned and Lauren even sweetly came over early one morning to drop off plastic wrap & tin foil when I asked where it was. She is a very accommodating host. I recommend renting a golf cart for the day too – very fun. Clean uncrowded beach.
