Climb to the top of Tybee Lighthouse for unbelievable views.
CHRISTMAS TOUR AT THE TYBEE ISLAND LIGHT STATION
Please join us for a unique opportunity to travel back through time and experience the sights and customs of Christmas at the Tybee Island Light Station in the days of out last Lighthouse Keeper and his family. This quaint depiction of holiday cheer in the 1930’s and 40’s illustrates the traditions of a simpler time by a small family whose closest, and sometimes only, neighbors were the military families of Fort Screven. Enjoy the twinkle of the Christmas lights across the island from the top of the Lighthouse, carols, hot cider and the joy of the season by the warm glow of candlelight. Please call 912.786.5801 to reserve early as space is limited.
This Christmas Tour will take place on Dec. 10 and 17, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the event are $15.00 for adults & $10.00 for children 5-17 (children 4 and under free).
While the City of Savannah recently issued an emergency order mandating that masks be worn in public, NO such emergency order is in effect on Tybee Island. The city does not require masks be worn, but individual businesses on Tybee may require a mask to enter their buildings.
Our beaches are open at this time. Coolers, chairs and umbrellas are permitted. We encourage everyone to follow recommended guidelines for safety and social distancing while visiting our beaches, businesses and city facilities.
Tybee beach misses you. Reservations available beginning May 1. Special discounts, too.
