Tybee’s FareWhale Festival Hosted by Gray’s Reef National Marine Sanctuary is  Saturday, March 21st from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM.

Join us on the Tybee Island Pier and Pavilion as we celebrate the end of the calving season for the critically endangered North Atlantic right whale.  It’s time for them to leave our coastal waters and make their way north off the coast of New England near Stellwagen National Marine Sanctuary.  One of the great events to enjoy is the right whale obstacle course.

You’ll also learn more about whales from experts and educators in the field. Enjoy live music and artwork from local artists and then take part in a guided beach walk on the shores of Tybee.  It’ll also be the perfect voluntourism opportunity for you and your family and frends to help keep Tybee beautiful.  Sign up to volunteer for our beach cleanup from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
